J and M General Maintenance, founded by Matthew Mayger,
are one of Bucks, Berks and Chilterns premier builders,
with 8 years trading and 20 years building experience
dealing with over 16 trades within the building, domestic
and commercial market places. As we consider J and M
General Maintainence to be builders of quality and distinction
we would hardly deem ourselves 'Jack Of All Trades',
but we do and are because our team includes tradesmen
who are masters of them.
We undertake small to medium works up to around £50,000
anywhere within the Bucks, Berks and Chilterns area.
To name a few, we offer full gas services including
landlord certificates, steel work - simple or structural,
full plumbing services all of which the founder Matthew
Mayger is certified for.
We will not undertake to supply budget materials unless
supplied by customer to fit. We pride ourselves on our
level of standards and service, making sure you receive
the service you desire .

TRADE LABOUR CHARGES NOTE... Any job that involves more than one trade will be quoted for as an individual job GENERAL WORKS (per man) Fully skilled £160 per 8 hours =£20.00 per hour Semi skilled £140 per 8 hours = £17.50 per hour Unskilled £100 per 8 hours =£12.50 per hour PLUMBING (per man) A £60 charge for up to the first hour of attendance, followed by an hourly charge of £42.00 per hour to the nearest half hour of attendance. For an 8 hour day a discounted rate of £270.00 will be made instead of the normal fee of £354.00 part days will be charged as the previous sentence.
ELECTRICAL (per man)
A £60 charge for up to the first hour of attendance, followed by an hourly charge of £42.00 per hour to the nearest half hour of attendance. For an 8 hour day a discounted rate of £270.00 will be made instead of the normal fee of £354.00 part days will be charged as the previous sentence.
GAS general works (per man) A £70 charge for up to the first hour of attendance, followed by an hourly charge of £45.00 per hour to the nearest half hour of attendance. For an 8 hour day a discounted rate of £300.00 will be made instead of the normal fee of £384.00 part days will be charged as the previous sentence. Standard Boiler service £ 110.00 Acid clean of boiler and central heating system £335.00 Landlord’s certificates, will include one boiler, 1 gas fire and oven and hob only. Further devices will occur extra charges. £100 Emersion tank change…varies from £300 upwards depending on tank size. Conversion from indirect to combination system £900 upwards
ROOFING (per man) NOTE... to comply with Health and Safety regulations a minimum of two persons on any works undertaken. Maximum working height allowed 30 feet £70.00 for the first hour thereafter £50.00 £290 per 8 hours WELDING (per man) All types of welding on or off site charged at £65 for the first hour and £48 for every hour after plus parts, materials and costs. 3 Phase MIG £310 per 8 hours Single Phase MIG £280 per 8 hours Arc 3 Phase £350 per 8 hours Single Phase Arc £320 per 8 hours Tig 3 Phase £350 per 8 hours General fabrication one off projects as per Quote e.g. staircases, railings, gates, fire escapes, window bars, framework and beam-work . Production welding as per Quote e.g. depending on size of order or batch quanties. BRICKWORK. (per man) At £150.00 for an 8 hour day Part days charges for the first hour at £60 and every hour after at £40 NOTE .. Most brickwork jobs undertaken only require 1 skilled and one semi skilled worker as a minimum. DRAINAGE (per man) For up to the first hour of attendance a £60.00 charge, followed by an hourly charge of £42.00 per hour to the nearest half hour of attendance. For an 8 hour day a discounted rate of £270.00 will be made, instead of the normal fee of £354.00 part days will be charged as the previous sentence.
TILING (per man) At £30.00 per hour up to the 8th hour. Over a 8 hour day £200.00 discount rate instead of the standard £240.00 PLASTERING (per man ) £60 for the first hour continued at £30.00 per hour up to the 8th hour. Over a 8 hour day £200.00 discount rate instead of the standard £240.00 CARPENTRY
